O-Shot – PRP Regenerative Therapy

The “O-Shot” is a registered and trademarked technique that has only two Doctors authorized to perform it in Australia, one of them being Dr Rhett Bosnich.

This relatively non-invasive regenerative technique uses the special application of PRP (platelet rich plasma) into the upper wall of the vagina and/or the clitoris. It can lead to some of the following benefits (especially to women who are post partum or peri/post menopausal):

  • Reduced urinary incontinence
  • Improved sexual well being
  • Increased vaginal lubrication
  • Increased clitoral and vaginal sensitivity

The power of PRP can enhance female sexual well being and confidence for the appropriate patient.

Prices – “How much does a hair transplant cost?”

It is amazing how often a person will call our clinic with the question, “How much do you charge for 2000 grafts? Or, how much does a hair transplant cost?”

It appears in their mind, that price is the only factor that will determine where they choose to go. The patient tends to believe that every clinic will produce the exact same result and therefore they can settle for the clinic with the cheapest price.

If prices vary only slightly which is usually the case, then the patient may put more thought into which is truly the better Clinic. However if the market price for a given number of grafts is $13,000 and one clinic offers the procedure for $6000, the question is why are they so much cheaper?

Body Hair transplant sydneyWhat you need to understand is that in all forms of business, price is a reflection of supply and demand. If people want it, they will pay more for it. Somebody once asked me why do they charge $400 for tickets to the men’s final of the Australian Open tennis? My reply was simple, “Because they can.” This means that there are enough people wanting those tickets to sell them at such a price. The demand is there. This is no different than Louis Vuitton charging $8000 for a handbag or Manhattan Apartments facing Central Park selling for $12 Million!

If clinics charge $13,000 for a hair transplant and they are still receiving bookings then there is no problem. But what happens if no patient chooses to pay that? The business is not making money and they are forced to decrease their prices due to a lack of demand. Let’s use an example:

A person wants to buy a new TV with a $2000 budget. In the store they see 3 models of the right size which are a Sony, a Samsung and a “home brand” model. All three prices are within $50 of each other. Common sense would indicate that the Sony and Samsung will heavily outsell the home brand TV. This is because most people are familiar with these two TV brands; they have confidence in them and feel that they are a better quality product than the home brand. The Home brand TV Company realises that very few customers are willing to pay a similar price as that of the more reputable TV brands.  So they decide to reduce their price from $2000 to $1300. Now when the consumer comes into the store, they see a TV which looks similar to the other two but is much cheaper. So suddenly the appeal of the home brand TV increases due to price alone and nothing else.

So if one clinic offers it for half the price of the competitors, it most likely means that they are getting overlooked.

PRP Treatment in Sydney

The number of enquirers received in relation to PRP treatment is always increasing at Newin Institute – especially in Sydney. Whether it be for hair loss, joint treatment or facial rejuvenation treatment, more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of PRP. The term PRP stands for “Platelet Rich Plasma” and involves separating the components of blood, extracting the platelets from the blood that contain growth factors and after a few other procedural steps concludes by having the PRP injected into the treatment area.

At Newin Institute about 3 in every 4 patients notice the real benefits of PRP. It may be a thickening of their weak hairs, pain relief within their treated joints or healthier and more glowing skin. The positive word of mouth and common mention from new clients that they personally know one of our satisfied PRP Sydney patients who recommended Dr Rhett Bosnich, explains why the popularity of PRP treatment at Newin Institute just keeps growing.2578b37

Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery

People may opt to have cosmetic surgery for many varied reasons, but reconstructive cosmetic surgery to improve or repair a physical disfigurement by far has the most impact on restoring a person’s self-esteem. There can be no doubt that quality surgical result will lead to improved emotional well- being says Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr Rhett Bosnich, Fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (FFMACCS).

Dr Rhett Bosnich is the owner and Medical Director of the Newin Institute in Melbourne and Sydney and is one of the leading authorities in Hair Transplant Surgery and Cosmetic Regenerative Medicine. He is a prestigious graduate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ABHRS) and principal Trainer in Regenerative and Stem Cell therapies for Adistem, a world-leading bio pharmaceutical company specializing in PRP and Stem Cell technology.

A new study of 800 subjects, published in the USA journal “Clinical Psychological Science” found that quality plastic/cosmetic surgery can result in people experiencing a greater sense of joy in life, improved self-esteem, and a higher sense of life satisfaction. Within the group these subjects all had similar initial levels of mental health and overall life satisfaction. So imagine the life-changing boost to the self-confidence of someone who has experienced mild to severe physical disfigurement.

Dr Bosnich is a highly trained and experienced Hair Transplant Surgeon, Cosmetic Laser Surgeon and Regenerative Physician. He is one of only three Australian Hair Transsmall_DrBosnich.PRPFacialRejuvenation.2plant Surgeons who is a diplomat of the ABHRS.

“Restoring the self-confidence of someone who has been profoundly affected by a physical disfigurement is the most rewarding achievement you can experience as a doctor or surgeon,” Dr Bosnich says. “We don’t push people into surgery or treatment. We like to take time to understand what a person wants to achieve from medical intervention, whether that’s emotional or physical – or both. We are focused on quality results and we certainly wouldn’t proceed with a treatment if we feel we can’t meet that person’s expectations. That philosophy is evermore important in someone who already experienced any degree of disfigurement, whether congenital, as a result of a traumatic accident or a surgical scar.”

“We perform many reconstructive hair transplant surgeries for a variety of causes. Some people are born with unnaturally high or oddly shaped frontal hairlines that bother them, or are born with thin fine eyebrows which we can easily restore if there is sufficient hair at the back of the scalp and no underlying medical condition. Others have had a traumatic or surgical scar through an eyebrow or scalp area that won’t grow hair and we are able to implant the hairless area with hair from another part of the head or body to restore the eyebrow or bald area.” he says.

“However, the most satisfying case of hair transplant surgery our team at Newin Institute has performed was on a young male who had been electrocuted as a child. He had suffered electrical burns to the scalp that were so severe the hair follicles in the affected area were permanently damaged and the area was permanently bald. This type of condition is called “Cicatricial or Scarring Alopecia”. Because the man had a good supply of hair from the back of the head, we were able to transplant a large number of new follicles into the scarred area and restore the hair density so that the disfigurement was covered and visually unnoticeable. It’s easy to imagine how dramatically that result changed his life, self-confidence and mental health.”

Dr Bosnich is one of the few Cosmetic Surgeons in Australia who also has a special interest in regenerative anti-ageing through the use of pep-tides, PRP and Stem Cell technologies for anti-ageing, hair restoration and facial rejuvenation.
